Speakers will be given open content licensing (Creative Commons) assigned to their work and a similar license for distribution by the EBVMA. All speakers must agree to the preparation of a slide deck, a proceedings paper and agree to be recorded (audio only, talking head over slides). The slidedeck will will primarly be used to accompany your presentation live or as part of the audio recording when published after an embargo period or time-shifted delivery for continuing education.
Once accepted to present, the following summarizes basic requirements for preparation. Again, please refer to our conference details page for current and more detailed information. All speakers will receive an honorarium (to be determined based on attendance and reconciliation of fees with expenses) and complimentary Symposium registration
1. All speakers must agree to the assignment of an open content license
to their work. By default, the EBVMA will assign a Creative Commons-Attribution 4.0 International License
. However, we encourage you to retain the same or compatible license to your work which will allow us to share and distribute it as well.
2. A Symposium proceedings paper
. The final paper will be prepared and rendered by the EBVMA with a template in LaTeX
. You only need to submit a document containing the required sections (no formatting is required) in text or any other open standard document format. The EBVMA may also sign a persistent PURL
(tentative) identifier to your proceedings paper using an EBVMA namespace.

6. A brief training and rehearsal
using the conference tool (GoToWebinar/Adobe Connect) prior to the event
7. A high quality dedicated microphone and headphones or headset
, a wired (ethernet, not WiFi, if possible) broadband internet
connection and a quiet environment. We may also be able to provide additional hardware if required.
